Really? I could have hired an attorney to fix this leaky faucet for less than they were charging. Wont' be calling these guys again.
Unless you're desperate, don't do it. The service is fine but the pricing is ridiculous.
While they had the water cut off, I mentioned to the 2nd guy, "Hey we have a leaky shower faucet. Since you have the water cut off how much would you charge us to go ahead & fix it?" He looked at it, went outside, came back in and said, "$280". Wow. No, thanks. After 20 minutes they had solved the original problem and were own their way.
Always quality workmanship, he gives you quotes and options before doing any work so as not to have any surprises after the work is complete.
Finally, I fixed the leaky faucet myself. The part was 10 bucks at Lowes, and while the job took me an hour, there is no way a professional who knew what he was doing could have taken more than 15 minutes. In fact, I could do it again today in 15 minutes. A $10 part, 15 minutes of knowhow, and they're already here for something else?
We had them out to replace an exterior faucet that was leaking. They quoted us $200 before they replaced it, which was steep considering it was extremely accessible for replacement. But I was busy and swallowed hard and said ok. In 20 minutes they were done, I paid them the $200 and that was that. $200 for 20 minutes work plus a $10 part? Hmmmm.
In the Spring when we were ready use the faucet, it leaked just as when we began. We called them and asked if they would warranty their work and they said Yes. To be accommodating, we said, "When you're in the area just come by and do it, we're here all the time." After a couple of weeks they didn't show up, so we called back, and they promptly came by the next day and took care of it.
They were on time, prepared for the work that needed to be done, and did an excellent job of cleaning up when they finished.
