It was interesting to see all of the history and get an idea of what the bath houses were all about, especially without having to pay a fee to see it all. It's kind of surreal to imagine so many people sitting in bathtubs in tiny cubicles all lined up in tight quarters. Some of the "medical instruments" were downright scary.
Well preserved, and a great self guided or tour guided tour. Bathhouse row is very pretty, clean, and well kept. If you're in the area, make sure you buy a souvenir jug with the mineral content of the water, or bring your own glass bottle/jar, to take the delicious, 148 degree, unfiltered mountain water.
Great place to visit with our without family. Get to know old style of bathing using fresh hot spring water. Loved the place. Must see
We like this tour. You should go.
Parking can be hard. One side of a street can be a four hour limit, and the other side can be only two hours. Most street parking looked to require quarters. Spa atmosphere outside is ruined by the sounds of traffic, especially loud motorcycles. The Visitor Center itself was interesting and thankfully quiet compared to the noise outside. At least it's a pedestrian friendly area. Also there are several Pokestops and a Poke gym if you want to get steps in.
