The sliced beef was a roast cooked in the oven with sauce all over it so the sauce made the dry meat taste good..
The Ribs were "Okay" nothing special.. but if you put the sauce on them they pretty good
McClard's has the biggest and best ribs I have ever had! The staff is very friendly and the family history in BBQ is deep. I can't wait to go back!
The Potato salad i got tasted pretty close to the bucket potato salad you get from walmart.
We came here after several recommendations. (Disclaimer: Being from Kansas City, the bar has been set very high when it comes to exceptional BBQ.) We ordered the ribs, "chopped" pork and fries. The ribs and pork were both extremely dry and really not edible. Fries were OK but not seasoned. Gave 2 stars because the service was good. The sauce was fine, a little spicy but nothing special. If you like moist, tender and flavorful meat or are used to KC BBQ, I wouldn't recommend trying this place. Disappointed.
If you really enjoy good BBQ flavor then this is not the place for you.. Damn good Sauces though!!!
Chopped Pork was really dry oven cooked pork but guess what they put all over it!!! so the sauce made it shine!!!
Big sign on the door prohibiting Concealed Weapons. I carry (with a permit) to protect myself and others if needed. In this day and age, this is becoming increasingly important. Naturally, I did not even open the door. Just down the road is a great BBQ place named Smokin’ In Style BBQ and they got my business today.
Busy place but still got great service!!! The Sauce is what makes this place!
I order the sampler plate and tried everything. The sausage is your basic eckrich sausage, very boring and straight out of a package sausage.
Have not been here in a few years..HOWEVER, I do buy their sauce online. McClard's....my first time here was in the late 70's. Love the sauce, the food. While I can't speak to the food recently, I will say the sauce is incredible. Love it. Walked here from my Aunt Lou's house on Plain street all the time. Miss her and miss McClard's in person.
