We went here for drinks just after it opened. The service is very friendly and the drinks were fine. The wine selection was small but they were having some initial supplier issues, which they have hopefully resolved by now. Prices for a glass of wine go from high to outrageous. The sharing plate was very tasty. We would have tried their oysters but they were too expensive ($3 per oyster!). The ambiance felt like a new place, but their stark décor doesn't help. Would try again but not immediately.
The duck totchos we amazing. Every item I've had from the menu is delicious. We frequent the Sunday Brunch...
Great restaurants come and go in Hot Springs. With the demise of Central Park Fusion, The Avenue is now the best restaurant in town. Yes, bar none, the best.

Diner at Avenue Restaurant was world class. From the oysters to the black and blue steak everything exceeded our expectations. Will absolutely dine at this restaurant again.
Service from Rosalie was perfect.
The small plates are adequately sized and everything is a la carte. We had the scallops, the pasta special, and the avocado cups with a bottle of a quite decent New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc before finishing with a blueberry-pear cobbler. Every bite was mouth-watering.
So happy about the hotel and renovation. Always loved the Thompson building and with Avenue Restaurant it's a winner
We ordered five things from the menu, and all were fantastic. Serving size is somewhat small to allow patrons to taste several plates (as the menu suggests), but it makes for a fairly expensive meal. For dessert we enjoyed a pear and cranberry cobbler a la mode, and it was delicious. Service was just right for a date night. There when we needed him, away while we enjoyed our food and conversation. We will definitely return.
I hope they're still open the next time we're in town.
