I find it disconcerting that Destinations does not allow reviews on Demandforce to be anonymous - and they have also disabled the reviews on Yelp. I've been hesitant to post my review because google forces you to use your real name and I didn't want to put all my personal information out there, or be harassed for saying some negative things, so please forgive this anonymous account. I understand that there is a need to keep things honest and prevent people from posting bogus reviews, but it seems geared to only have reviews from customers that you know will post good things (my goal is to give a fair review, which I hope will help your business).
I was at this spa a while ago. My appointment was for a 90 minute massage, but the therapist only gave me a 60 minute, leading me to think she didn't check her book before I came. The receptionist didn't know this and almost charged me full price for the service that was scheduled - not the service I received. The therapist was pleasant, and I liked her, but she had a super light touch and it just wasn't what I was accustomed to, or wanted. I didn't necessarily want deep tissue but I wanted firm pressure which I asked for. I've had a ton of massage, so maybe I'm just really picky. The spa itself was very nice and relaxing. They've done a good job with the atmosphere.
I received a massage and facial from AJ, the owner. This was, by far, the best massage I have ever received. AJ''s techniques result from talent and precision. The facial was amazing as well. Due to skin sensitivity, AJ was very observant and caring regarding how the products felt on my skin. I would highly recommend Destination Day Spa, specifically AJ for a massage or facial. AJ is a rare find.
My wife and I were in town for our honeymoon and decided to visit this place after it was recommended by another local day spa whom were booked for the day. This place offered a clean and professional environment with a personable touch that was inviting and relaxing. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We chose a couples massage in which we were offered both a male and female masseuses. They were very attentive and asked several questions about our specific massage needs to better assist us during our session. They were very skilled in the art of hot rock and Swedish massage so much so that I apparently had falling asleep on the table. Lol. The price compared to the quality of service definitely created a level of value for us that will warrant another visit to this spa upon our next trip back to Hot Springs.
We had the "couple's retreat" package. The environment was very relaxing and the massages felt wonderful! Our hydrotherapy session was first, and when we finished with that, there was no where to relax while we were waiting for our massage. The transition was a little awkward, but overall the service was great. I would recommend this spa.
Destinations is incredible! Each room has a different theme so every time you go can be a different experience. I had the absolute best hot stone massage ever by AJ and highly recommend you give them a try. Check out their website and you will be amazed at all the services they offer. I have also used their Salt Therapy room which was outstanding.
