If you are habituate to European standards stay away.
The Quapaw Bathhouse is actually part of the National Park Service, as is almost half the town of Hot Springs AR.
The Quapaw bathhouse closes only on Tuesdays and for the first 2 weeks in January for maintenance.
We arrived 1.00 pm. On the new years eve. One of the receptionist girls told my wife there are too many people are waiting to get in and they are full and will close early therefore she doesn't have any chance. When I heard this didn't make sense to me . So I came back at 3.00 pm. and they told me I could get in but there are 16 people ahead of me and they will close at 5:45 pm.
Never would come back! They use bleach in the water. :(
They put you in your own small private room with a big tub full of water jets and let you soak in the spring water for a 20 minute session. Those minutes seemed to fly by, but it was very relaxing and any longer would've got too hot! Afterwards they provide you cool water and a damp rag to cool back down in the sitting area. Will definitely be coming back!
Paid for the couple's private bath and absolutely loved it! The staff was very friendly and service was super quick especially if you make a reservation 24 hours in advance.
It sounded like the receptionists where trying to get ride of customers to close the business for the new years eve earlier than usual.!! My wife became very upset asking why they send her away as earl as 1.00 pm. ?!!.
Daily visits cost $30 per person or $110 for 3 months. The price includes the use of their towels and bathhouse sandals. There is plenty of ice water available and a Cafe that serves lunch in the premises.
Dirty, loud and noisy. People on their phone in the spa. Can take pictures or whatever.
Regards .
A variety of massages is also available on the premises:
The staff is courteous and helpful.

I recently took a private bath here and it was great! The staff was friendly, gave me a pony tail since I forgot mine, and after the bath they gave us face towels that were cold with cucumber lotion on them. It was very refreshing. Thanks for a great first experience in Hot Springs!
Swedish, Deep Tissue: Targeted (for areas that need more attention), Hot Stone, Foot massage and Bamboo Fusion.
There are 4 pools in 2 levels and the water temperature varies from 96F to 104F.
My wife and I were staying in the Gulpha Gorge Campground and RV park which is also part of the National Park Service and was just a quick 5 minutes drive from the Quapaw Bathhouse.
This kind of behavior is not fair for the customers who are mostly coming from different states to take one hour bath and against the hospitality that we always received from the people of Arkansas.
