Mattress was comfortable. Mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and TV were all in working order. The heat worked well and the view from our room was great. Loved the personal balconies on each room.
I had only intended to stay a couple of nights -but the retro 1920-30ish charm, the excellent views and location are worthy of staying longer. If those fail to impress you the staff will convince to love it anyway. The operation and management was smooth and responsive to guest needs, Vickie, Cassie, and Jay went out of their way to make everyone feel at home. The cleaning staff was friendly and dbl. checked we had what we needed every morning. After traveling 2000 miles CA to AR this was hands down our favorite place. Update 11/28 enjoyed another visit here -added pictures of bathhouse row lights and decorations.
Great location and beautiful lobby. Rooms are nice and clean too. But needs some maintenance here and there as the age is showing through in places. I really appreciated the call about my watch I left behind. Thanks for mailing it back to me!
Carpets in hallways were torn and stained. They are in the middle of renovations and the lobby looks nice. We were on the 6th floor and they hadn't made it up there yet.
First room was dirty. 2nd was okay.
The staff were all very nice and hospitable.
By far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I brought my wife here for a romantic vacation, and walked into a disaster. Upon arriving the parking was extremely unclear. When we went inside the whole hotel was under renovation which was not told upon the reservation. Our room is absolutely disgusting. There’s Japanese beetles everywhere, stains on the carpet, and in the bathroom they patched a hole with a ceiling tile. The ceiling is drywall. Staff is beyond rude. We were considered about sketchy kids in the parking lot, and the person on staff was extremely rude about our concerns. When we come back, we will NEVER stay here again. Might as well sleep in one of the 39.99 a night motels because you’re going to get the same experience.
I liked this hotel quite a bit. The staff were friendly. The Location was awesome. It had the appearance of a hotel that was let go, but in the process of a revamp. When I asked about it, I was told new owners had come in and started restoring the place. The beds were comfortable and I enjoyed my stay. The prices were even better. I would come back. My only complaint was a faint smell but I always smell that in old hotels so it was not unexpected! I recommend a stay here.
